FAQs
Ultrasound-guided injection therapy uses real-time imaging to guide the precise placement of medication directly to the affected area. This technique ensures accurate delivery of treatments like corticosteroids, hyaluronic acid, or PRP, resulting in better outcomes and reduced discomfort compared to blind injections.
Yes, a pain management requisition from your physician or an existing diagnosis is required. If needed, a requisition form can be downloaded from our website and completed by your healthcare provider prior to your appointment.
We treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including joint pain, tendonitis, bursitis, arthritis, sports injuries, and chronic pain affecting the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, hips, knees, ankles, feet, and spine.
The duration of relief varies by treatment. Corticosteroid injections typically provide relief for up to three months, while hyaluronic acid injections, such as Monovisc and Cingal, may offer relief for six to twelve months. PRP therapy can also provide symptom relief for six to twelve months or longer. Results may vary based on individual factors.
Monovisc is a hyaluronic acid injection designed to improve joint lubrication and mobility. Cingal combines hyaluronic acid with a corticosteroid to provide both immediate anti-inflammatory relief and longer-term joint lubrication. Sportvis is formulated for soft-tissue conditions, including tendon and ligament injuries.
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy uses your body’s own healing mechanisms. A small sample of your blood is drawn, processed to concentrate the platelets, and then injected into the affected area. The growth factors within PRP support tissue healing and regeneration without synthetic medications. A series of three treatments is typically recommended for optimal results.
